This is a 27 year old female from Arizona who presented to my Scottsdale, Arizona area medical practice with concerns about her breasts and body. Specifically, she had previously undergone saline breast augmentation by another surgeon and was unhappy with the shape and size of her breasts. Also, the patient did not like the bulging appearance of her abdomen. I recommended a "Mommy Makeover" for this patient which included corrective breast surgery and an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). With regards to the breasts, this patient had a "Snoopy" deformity due to drooping of her breast tissue on prior implants that were too small for her body. The patient wanted to have larger breasts that would be more proportionate to her body size. I recommended removing her saline implants, and switching to larger silicone gel implants for the most natural look. I also recommended a circumareolar mastopexy (tightening around the areolas) to make the breasts appear rounder and perkier while minimizing scars. With regards to the abdominal area, the patient had loose muscles, excess skin, and old bellybutton piercing scars. I recommended a full abdominoplasty with muscle tightening to repair the stretched out abdominal muscles and to tighten the excess skin. In the operating room, I removed this patient's smaller, overfilled saline implants with 550cc moderate plus profile Mentor cohesive silicone gel implants. I also tightened the skin around the areolas. I performed a tummy tuck as well, with significant tightening of the abdominal muscles as well as removal of the excess skin and old piercing scars. The patient recovered very well after surgery and was extremely happy with the new appearance of her body and breasts.
