This is a 39 year old mother of three from the Chandler, Arizona area who presented to my Scottsdale, Arizona medical practice with complaints about her breast and abdomen appearance. Specifically, this patient was unhappy with the "saggy, deflated" appearance of her breasts, and the "bulge and stretch marks" of her abdomen. I felt that she would be an excellent candidate for a combination of breast augmentation with a mastopexy (breast lift) and tummy tuck surgery with liposuction. This combination of procedures is affectionately known as the "mommy makeover" and helps to reverse the changes that occur in women's bodies after pregnancy. With this patient, I performed a breast augmentation usin 300cc smooth, round, moderate plus profile Mentor cohesive silicone gel implants. After the implants were in place, I performed a breast lift using a vertical (lollipop scar) technique to tighten the breasts and improve the appearance of the areolas. After completing the breasts, I performed a full tummy-tuck (with tightening of the abdominal muscles) and lposuction of the flanks and thighs (using power-assisted liposuction). The patient recovered very well after surgery and is seen less than two weeks after surgery in the post-operative pictures. She was thrilled with her new appearance, and claimed that she looked even better than before she started having children. She was also very happy that all of her stretch-marks were removed with surgery.
