This patient is a 32 year old female from the Chandler, Arizona area who presented to my Scottsdale, Arizona area medical practice with interest in "Mommy Makeover" surgery. Specifically, this patient's body had changed dramatically after childbirth, resulting in severe drooping of the breasts and extreme looseness and bulging of the abdomen. For this patient, I recommended a combination of breast reduction surgery and an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with liposuction of the flanks. I felt that this combination of surgery would completely change her body appearance. In the operating room, I performed a laser assisted breast reduction with a Wise pattern (anchor scar) breast lift. I removed 254 grams from the right breast and 328 grams from the left breast to achieve the best shape and symmetry. After finishing the breast reduction, I performed a tummy tuck in which I tightened the patient internally by over 3 inches, and removed 1500 grams of excess skin and fat. I also removed over 350cc of aspirate (fat and fluid) from each love handle area. After the surgery, the patient did quite well overall. Once she was fully healed, she could not believe how wonderful her breasts and body looked. She and her husband are very excited with her new body image, and she can now fit into clothes over 5 sizes smaller than before surgery. She has also made significant lifestyle changes, and is pursuing a healthy diet and exercise program.
