This patient is a female in her mid 30's from the Phoenix, Arizona area who presented to my Scottsdale, Arizona area medical practice with interest in "Mommy Makeover" surgery. This patient had noted a loss in volume in her breasts and bulging of the abdominal area after having children. I felt that this patient would be an excellent candidate for a Mommy Makeover, which in her case consisted of breast augmentation (she did not need a lift) and a tummy tuck with liposuction of the love-handle areas (flanks). With regards to the breast portion of the procedure, the patient wished to go from a B cup to a natural appearing C cup. To provide the best results, I placed cohesive silicone gel implants through the areolas and under the chest muscles. I felt that Mentor smooth round 325cc high profile implants gave the patient the best overall appearance. After completing the breast portion of the surgery, I performed a full abdominoplasty (tummy-tuck) with extensive internal muscle tightening to correct her bulging abdominal wall. I also removed a significant excess of lower abdominal skin and removed excess fat from the flanks using power-assisted liposuction. The patient healed very well after surgery and was extremely pleased with her natural appearance, improved contours and balanced upper and lower body proportions.
