This patient is a 34 year old mother of 5 from the Glendale, Arizona area who presented to my office with complaints of breast drooping, and stretching out of her abdominal area after pregnancy. This patient was very active, and wanted her physique to reflect her athletic nature. Because this patient was already a full D-cup and did not wish to be much smaller, I recommended a breast lift surgery with a small amout of tissue removal on the left for better symmetry. I felt that I would be able to perform this lift using a lollipop scar technique in order to avoid an extra scar under the breast. With regards to the abdominal region, this patient clearly had lost a tremendous amount of her elasticity due to her multiple pregnancies. I explained that she would need a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with tightening of the abdominal wall, and I also recommended liposuction of the flanks (love handles) in order to maximize the improvement of her waistline. I performed a "mommy makeover" which included a vertical (lollipop scar) breast lift with a small reduction on the left, a full tummy tuck, and liposuction of the flanks. During surgery, I created a significant lift of the breasts, and tightened the abdominal wall internally by multiple inches, thereby flattening her abdomen and creating a waistline. All of the skin from the bellybutton to the pubic area was removed which helped to contour her abdomen and remove excess stretch marks. After surgery, the patient recovered nicely and could not believe how much better her breasts and abdomen looked. This patient finally felt that her outward appearance reflected the way she felt on the inside.
